In the 26th season of First Monday at Jordan Hall, founder and artistic director Laurence Lesser pays tribute to NEC alumni, inviting them back to the musical font to perform with current faculty, students and friends.

For the opening night program, Lesser has assembled an all-German/Austrian program with works of Beethoven, Schoenberg, and Robert Schumann, whose 200th birthday is being celebrated worldwide.

This concert opens with the Beethoven Quintet for Piano and Winds in Eb Major, Opus 16. Performers, highlighted by NEC wind faculty who are members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, include: Pei-Shan Lee*, piano; John Ferrillo, oboe; Thomas Martin, clarinet; Richard Svoboda, bassoon; Eli Epstein, French horn.
