As recommended by The Washington Post, The Borromeo Quartet performs first violinist Nicholas Kitchen’s transcriptions of Beethoven’s 7th and 8th Symphonies with guest violist Nicholas Cords, along with his Quartet in B-flat Major op. 130 and the Grosse Fugue op. 133 on December 5, as part of the Library of Congress' “(Re)hearing Beethoven” virtual Festival. First violinist Nicholas Kitchen also talks about inspiration from expressive markings in Beethoven Op. 130 and the Grosse Fugue (and his manuscripts in general), along with a conversation with the artists and performance.
